So as more and more indie games come out and even the ones realised by major gaming companies, a couple of things spring to mind as to why I would want to create my own game, and no it isn't to get rich! (Although that would be nice)

The more I look into games the less I find games for Mac's, I'm not getting into a OS war, but in my many years, I have found that Macs tend to be more easier to work with, I love Linux as well, and for many years ran various flavours of linux on my desktop and laptops.

One thing that primarily peeve's me is that, games these days tend to have in-app purchases and adverts, which I get, as it isn't cheap to create and release a game, but my biggest peeve is that a lot of games are not cross platform.

I have Mac's right, so what if I want to play a classic like C&C Generals against my son, who maybe running a non OSX OS over the network. We can' unless I boot my non OSX machine and wait for the updates, or to be told the game has been updated and no longer works on the version of OS.

So that's basically the why I'm creating my own game, mainly to be cross-platform and hopefully generate enough to cover the costs, anything above that is cool.
